Pros
ExpandED Schools went through a rocky transition when its founder retired, but is now well-positioned to do what it does best -- help close the opportunity gap and provide amazing experiences for NYC public school students in some of the most at-need areas. Generally, the staff are committed and mission-driven. Staff work hard, but work-life balance is well-respected. This is a fantastic place to launch a long career in the education space as leadership are well connected and respected through NYC and nationally.
Cons
There have been complaints of low salary, but leadership has gone to great lengths recently to ensure equity in salary and make salaries more on par with market rates.
