Pros

Flexible working hours, good PTO although it is accrued with your overtime.

Cons

Extreme burnout, high work loads, difficulty taking PTO due to high volume of work, difficult to set boundaries, mandatory over time to keep up with work, under paid.

A dead end for young professionals

Pros

job security, consistent work schedule

Cons

Old administrative assistants who've been there for decades have poor attitudes, are unwelcoming to young professionals, territorial, bitter, and quite frankly unpleasant. You can tell they have been stuck in the same job for years. Cannot adapt to change, No professional growth opportunities, staff outside of attorneys are not valued, and there is ZERO DIVERSITY. The attorneys are another story. There's a definite line between attorneys and everyone else. Since they are the money makers, they walk around with a sense of entitlement. The remaining staff are basically invisible, or the scum underneath the attorney's shoes. Pay is not great. Raises are a joke

Pros

Friendly people; good onboarding and training; lots of support from coworkers and management.

Cons

Decisions are made on whether or not one of the people at the top like you. It is not about your skills, abilities, or potential--it is about whether someone likes you or not.
