Great team but concerns about management & company direction
Pros
- An amazing team to work with - all my colleagues are super nice, friendly and smart - Product is used by many websites, so I know my work will make a real impact - Good company benefits: - Unlimited holiday with 15 days off required as minimum - Reimbursed equipment (e.g. laptop) - Tri-annual fully paid international meetups - Remote work is good for flexibility
Cons
- Not enough diversity at management level, leaving certain voices heard less than others (this is slowly improving) - I don't feel super well supported in working remotely, as it feels like US folks are more of a priority (partly due to above) - Questionable company direction - feels like marketing is more of a priority than the product itself - Decisions are often made behind closed doors, or without good opportunity for discussion afterwards - Questionable work/life balance - between 40 and 50 hours per week expected, and I see people on Slack late, plus sometimes on weekends
