The first thing I want to say is I agree with every "true" review here. By "true" I mean the reviews that were not written by a Gohealth manager. One sentence, 5 star reviews are a dead give away. There are some things that must be said. No needle stick policy; As in employees have been stuck by needles by the actions of the providers (mistakes happen) but yet Gohealth has not provided these employees with proper testing or treatment as per Northwell Hospital which gives us our company guidelines. Everything about our managers is so incredibly true; the good the bad and the ugly. There are a few individuals who know what they're doing. Individuals who can handle the duty of being a manager at an urgent care and I thank you for providing the guidance when the time came. By the way the ONLY employees in Gohealth that I've witnessed being promoted was middle management; the "Dream Team." Managers are not trained to handle internal company issues. Generally the actions of upper management are immature, spiteful and unprofessional. If you "open your mouth" and complain about the many company issues (long days, no breaks) chances are your manager will began pointing out every little mistake you make. Soon you'll be written up for bogus things and if you refuse you're terminated. Happened several times during my 3 year career to people with families. Gohealth "forgets" to mention during the interview that as an RT you're required to perform medical assistant / receptionist duties. The fact it's part of our job duties isn't the issue; the fact that they neglect to tell you this during the interview is. Because of that and other issues Gohealth has a HUGE turnover. As for the training, there is none. Gohealth is always short staffed. In most instances the trainee will be rushed thru training process and thrown into a short staffed site. They either sink, swim or quit. Over 3 year career I have seen a minimum of 30 RTs come and quit. As mentioned above chances are you will be short staffed. From personal experience, I had a 2 year old patient seize in my office during a busy time of day, mother was also 8 months pregnant. It was only myself and a physician assistant staffed at the time. We were able to control the situation but I was NOT able to assist the provider AND call 911 at the same time. Imagine witnessing that situation happen to your child. Bonuses: Gohealth offers bonuses to their employees. Each patient receives a text after the visit asking to rate the care of the provider they saw; this is called a NPS score. Every patient rates the provider/staff regardless of how untrue and unprofessional comments are. Here are some exmaples: "Diagnosed wtih the flu given no antibiotics. Went to my primary care provider given Z-pak feel 100 times better, Gohealth sucks" "Great service great care but I did not like the tea they offered" "The hot blonde was cute but I think she's a little young to be playing doctor" each example gave the provider a 0 score regardless of the treatment provided. Because of that the provider's NPS score drastically lowers along with their bonus. The part that's most concerning is Gohealth will NOT REMOVE any ludicrous comment. A patient could insult, threaten and probably assault a provider but Gohealth will only be concerned about the NPS score.

Cons

If you enjoy being micromanaged, questioned, accused, belittled, not trained, gossiped about and want to go no where fast with your career, then by all means apply for an opening that doesn't match your skill set. Doesn't matter what the job description states or what is conveyed to you in the interview, you won't be doing it once you start. A day in the life of working in the corporate office would be, having the department directors and CIO talk down to you, talk behind your back, blame you for something you didn't do or deliberately work against you. How about being put into tears by the director, who usually is acting like a childish, egotistical brut who doesn't know how to treat people correctly. And his boss doesn't appear to know how to reign him in (meaning his management skills are weak). I guess Epic doesn't develop managers well or at all. Also, it doesn't matter if you go to HR, they won't do anything. They solely exist to have the backs of management. I did notice this during my time here is how many people are hired because they have a pulse, not because they're in the right job fit and because most are willing to work for less than market salaries to have a job. This last part meshes perfectly with "we run a lean model here" and instead the business model should be "we're so tight we squeak".
