Pros

Excellent benefits. Ability to complete higher education goals and maintain stable employment. Beautiful offices located in Midtown Atlanta. If you are ambitious and work hard, you can find enough interesting work to keep you busy for a couple of years.

Cons

Job has absolutely no room for internal growth. LPAs are generally treated poorly and assumed to be incompetent. Notoriously toxic culture. Tenured LPAs are cliquish, miserable, and unmotivated with a history of relentlessly bullying others without consequence. The LPA position is shifting towards a younger crowd, (college grads with zero work experience who just want to stay a couple of years). Tenured LPAs are increasingly fearful of being replaced and take this out on the younger hires. Instead of cultivating an environment that welcomes new hires and encourages the older employees to feel more secure in their roles, management furthers the divide by pitting employees against each other and failing to squash bad behavior and mindless gossip.
