Overall good place to work.

Frequent scheduling issues around hours.

Toxic work environment. Micromanaging. Poor pay. The way this place is managed at the Wildwood location is BAD. People end up quitting. Management makes things worse for the employees, going out of their way to micromanage a simple task into making it harder than it needs to be. They constantly watch to nitpick everything staff does. They make employees feel undervalued and miserable. To them, staff is all replaceable.

Insufficient training, lack of accountability among regional supervisors, lack of transparency with donated funds.

Constantly understaffed and under paid

Commute in the area is tough

Helicopter Administration, Time off requests get denied for no reason, Tense work environment, Travel without pay for most employees

For someone with a degree or wanting to grow their skills, they will run into roadblocks and frustration with how far they can go and the ideals of the company that doesn't seem invested in employees future for long-term career. The overarching management of the larger LS&S doesn't understand the small libraries realities and struggles and tries to manage with corporate solutions that just frustrate.
