Pros

Residents are wonderful. Fantastic pool!

Cons

Marquette is a not-for-profit being managed by a for profit company - Life Care Services. Marquette was the premiere continuum of care community before the pandemic. New Executive Director, Barrett Way, is focused on decreasing resident amenities and benefits while increasing monthly charges.

Pros

Weekends off. Pay somewhat decent

Cons

Terrible management. They talk about you, they do whatever they want. I have seen some crooked stuff here. If it's something for them they expect it right away. But if you want something it takes forever. Request time off and it takes weeks for approval. We have a morning meeting and the director puts on a show for every one. You can tell they don't care about you. No advancement possible.

Very easy job

Pros

You have a lot of downtime and all the daily duties are quick and easy. The supervisors are friendly and easy to talk to. You can pretty much roam the property at your leisure with no one breathing down your neck. You have access to a computer with internet when you are working in the gatehouse, so that helps past the time.

Cons

The pay could be better, you work 12 hour shifts which can be a lot when there isn't much to do, there is no designated place for officers to sit and/or eat which makes eating challenging, you don't have an official lunch break because you can use your downtime to eat, but every now and again on busy days you will constantly be interrupted, there is a lot of walking while working in the building especially since there are minimal seating for officers, and the insurance benefits are extremely high!!
