Great Students, Diminishing Compensation and Democratic Governance

Pros

Oberlin students are wonderful: engaging, creative, and always open to new ideas. A joy to teach.

Cons

The College has implemented cuts to faculty compensation and benefits that make us among the most uncompetitive in our peer group. Faculty governance has been eroded and staff unions busted by a Board of Trustees and administration focused more on implementing corporate governance strategies than honor Oberlin's history of social justice.
