An unfortunate lack of employee appreciation

Pros

-Travel benefits including standby space available travel and discounted confirmed travel. -The new headquarters building is very nice. The desks are small, however, and are assembled in an open concept. Only executives have offices. -4% match on 401(k) -Most employees are very friendly to one another and are genuinely nice.

Cons

-I would be willing to give Sun Country a 3 or 4 star review if it wasn't for this crucial aspect: Lower level employees are not appreciated, at all. I have never received a raise in all of my years with the company, despite always receiving positive feedback from my supervisors. Executives and upper management refuse to reward employees for years of service and great performance, as they deny requests to give top employees pay increases. The wage gap is extreme at this company. Pay is very low for non-management and entry level positions. There are no yearly performance reviews or cost of living increases. Whatever the starting pay is, you can expect to make that same amount until you move to another position. Employees constantly move from department to department because they know that they won't get a raise. I have spoken to my manager about this multiple times, but they've told me there is nothing they can do because it is up to the executives. -There are some employees that make more than others in the same position even though they have been there for a shorter amount of time and have less experience. -Many employees are forced to have 2nd jobs to make ends meet -Extreme favoritism for promotions goes to those who have worked with executives at certain companies in the past.

Don't waste your time

Pros

My job is convenient for my life at the moment as far as hours, location, and the effort I'm willing to put in.

Cons

New owners turned company into a disaster. I was once a happy employee and loved my job, co workers, and everything the company stood for. Now I'm ashamed and embarrassed to work at the worst airline ever. We are always short staffed and management cares nothing about you anymore. Everyone is for themselves. No need to waste your time trying to use your flight benefits because the flights are all oversold now because the company has turned into a greedy money hungry establishment. Leadership sucks.

Pros

Lawsuits due to Discrimination & Whistle Blowing, Hostile work environment, Defamation of Character, Minimum wage act requirements were illegally practiced.

Cons

Reported Illegal activity of thievery. Such as when Petters, Ponzi, investor. As a salaried employee You make approximately$5.00 an hour, when you consider working delayed flights. If you complain about discrimination. They will place a token nationality as your new supervisor. They will make you as miserable as possible. Hoping you'll quit. When you leave a Caucasian will return, to the job.
