You get them, but if you use them you dont get pay raises and you get docked in your personnel file pretty hard. I mean... everyone gets the flu and has sick kids.

Sick days accumulate monthly. Company recently began converting sick days to vacation days at a 3:1 ratio once you've banked 30 sick days, but you only earn 1/2 day of sick leave per month, so it would take 5 years of continuous service to reach this point. Would much rather see sick leave and vacation time lumped together as PTO so as not to effectively penalize associates who aren't frequently "sick."
