If you consider letting someone who has been there a year train the new people then its good. In my opinion that is not a safe or smart practice at all. They don't even know the job fully so how can they train someone to do it right?

Got hired as a manager, with no managerial experience. I had plenty of automotive knowledge but i was expected to work as the only manager in the store my first day, minus the first 2 hours of my shift & the store manager coming in at the end of the night to close the store.
