Very generous with training and development during the "good years." Training budgets were severely constrained in the low commodity price environment.

They offer professional development classes specific to BHP. They won't be recognized or help you outside of BHP and if they don't intend to promote you then these classes are worthless and amount to nothing more than time spend away from your work being productive.
