Sick Leave

Seems standard and easy to account for

Employer offers generous amount of sick days

Best is number of hours given for sick leave. Not good is that we can’t donate it to fellow employees in need

Can be used for sick family also.

“The coverage is not high enough for grad students.”

Plenty of sicks days, which accrue over time.

Very flexible as a graduate student.

Never had any problems.

2 weeks sick time, but if you use all of it, you get written up (unless you have a Dr. note, like I did for FMLA). Also, they didn't give me a hard time for taking paternity leave when my son was born. I split it up into two blocks, rather than taking it all at once.
