Bereavement Leave

Regular full-time employees will be granted time off with pay in the event of the death of a close relative. Paid time off may be used intermittently for arrangement of a funeral or memorial services, attendance of a funeral or memorial service, resolving family obligations, personal mourning, etc. Close family members are defined as: a parent, grandparent, sibling, child, grandchild, or spouse/partner, and spouse’s/partner’s parent, grandparent, sibling, child, and grandchild. This provision may be extended to other close relatives residing in the household of the employee.
