Have to be out 7 calendar days in a row to access sick leave each and every time you are sick unless hospitalized overnight. Need to keep a group of PTO days just to make sure you are covered for a paid day when sick with the flu or a cold. Their efforts to cut down on abuse of sick leave has caused an issue for those with chronic illnesses.
