Covers a lot. But there's only one plan "to choose from" from the provider...so only one deductible, out-of-pocket, etc., offered.

High Deductible insurance plan, which means high out-of-pocket money up front.

It's a good Cigna plan with a high deductible and an HSA. Hughes will contribute some money to your HSA for every objective you complete from a list up to a maximum contribution based on if the plan is individual or family. The objectives include: participation in bi-annual company-wide step contest, promise not to smoke, get a physical, etc.
As far as premiums are concerned, they are not outrageous, but another company I recently looked at had much better plans for the same employee premiums (that company paid 80% of the total premium).
Perhaps my biggest gripe with Hughes health insurance benefit is that there is only a single plan, and no option for a low-deductible plan, even at a higher premium. This makes the health insurance less useful for someone who has many medications or appointments (although there is an out of pocket maximum of $5,500 per person or $11,000 total for family).

Health insurance is through Cigna which is accepted at a decent number of doctors.
