after the move to global foundry's i found the IBM healthcare package was horribly over priced for what it was i spend 40$ /PM and get a low 20$ normal visits 30$ specialist visists and 100$ ER co pay
IBM did give you 30$ to waive your healthcare....

Standard health insurance package include health, dental, vision... all of the things that a person needs in order to survive. I wouldn't say they offer anything different or of special value.
