401K Plan

"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

Best thing is the 401k and employee discounts. Worst thing is the health insurance. High deductibles.

Corporate benefit package was pretty good. Change to health care is seeing increase in employee cost, thank you Obama Care.

I was a contractor and was not offered any benefits through Lockheed Martin. My contract company did not offer any benefits to its employees.

There are a great number of opportunities within LM to support the defense of our nation, explore the universe, and further scientific understanding.

Retirement package could be a bit more generous.

401K the best. Company matches 50% of the first 8% you put in and they have a separate account where they will give you additional 6% without you putting anything. Basically you would get 10% (4% from your 8% and 6% free from LM).

Health insurance is great and the 401k plan for salary staff is very competitive.

Best is the comprehensive and flexible complement of benefits offerings. Worst thing is a single consumer driven health plan that is the only option available to employees as compared to other employers in the market that offer additional health plan options such as a HMO, PPO, etc.
