"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

Incredibly generous total compensation package starting with their employer contribution to medical, the HSA seed, and retirement contributions. While base and bonus were somewhat low, the other benefits brought up their package to market.

The best thing was that they originally had a pension plan in addition to the 401K match, but that was dropped around 2015 or so. They did increase our 401K match percentage to try to compensate for this change.
