Vacation & Paid Time Off

I wish there was more scheduled holidays above what we have currently. But I really cannot complain since it is good already.

Finding time to take it.

Lockheed Martin had a 9/80 schedule so every other Friday was off. I liked that. The vacation seemed as generous as most other places.

It takes 15 years to get an additional week of vacation.

Vacation and paid time off seem consistent with the industry

3 weeks/year with a ramp to 4 weeks/year after 15 years. Reasonably easy to schedule vacation, even at last minute, and you don't lose vacation if you have to take a sick day (unlike some places which combine both into "paid time off"

It's about average. You start with 24hrs of personal time every year. You get about 7hrs of vacation time a month, and you can borrow time if needed.

i am a telecommuter so my vacation and PTO is banked cause i make up the lost time throughout the week with my flexible schedule

Takes a long time to acquire enough to take a real vacation.
