It's better than a poke with a sharp stick. It covers less than 2% of the entire year (when's the last time you were sick less than 2% of a year?), only covers hourly pay (not commission) and doesn't even cover a third of the exclusion period for short term disability benefits. It's a start, but it's not enough.
