Retirement Plan

Best thing is that they have been good to employees but need to be more helpful when u work 30 years or so and ur comin close to the end of your career give them some bonus or money for certain years of service as a appreciation for there work and happy retirement example (20 years offer 5000 when retired 30 offer 10000 40 maybe 20000 just so they can live happy) be able to say that this company is great to work for and be the driving factor for people to want to come work for safeway.

The fact that safeway wants to take care of its employees and staff makes you appreciate such a big company doing so.

Again, it is nice to have any plan, but no pension. They did cut back quite a bit, during the period I worked there. Several employees that worked there a long time, and we before I started, were able to retire early.
