Scripps has very good health insurance. They work very hard at trying to keep the cost to there employees very low and still having good health insurance.

As previously noted, it's lacking. I had a mass growing in my arm pit and they said it wasn't medically necessary to be removed. It was 4x5x1.5. What proliferative mass should ever be growing and left to continue do so...pure ignorance! Thank goodness I have a great surgeon who continued to argue my case. Yet, Scripps pays for unfunded/undocumented patients daily.

Great medical insurance benefit. Small out of pocket for employees.

Cost is zero after the first year of employment for FTE if you attend the on line seminars and workshops, which are easily accessible. Dependent coverage is minimal cost. Benefits are amazing and there are alternative options such as an employee care clinic for a $10 copay for basic needs. They are currently also offering online physician care for clinic type needs at $10 copay. Typical copay is $20. Basic dental is great and they offer a Health Expense account.
