REMOTE
Spatial Data Logic (SDL) recognizes that a successful remote or hybrid work arrangement is beneficial for employees and the company. SDL is a remote-first company with employees in over 15 different states across the United States. The options, however, may vary in some job classifications due to business needs and job functions. Each department manager will determine, in their discretion, the positions within the department that may be suitable for remote or hybrid work.
SDL will typically determine if a position is fully remote or hybrid at the very start of the recruiting process. That being said, we know that situations change, and encourage any employee to discuss their specific needs and schedule with their manager or HR. Remote or hybrid work may be reasonable accommodation; employees are encouraged to consult Human Resources or the appropriate department if they are requesting this arrangement as reasonable accommodation.
These programs encourage a healthy remote working environment.
At Spatial Data Logic, we focus on outcomes, not inputs. Employees may work with their managers to choose their start and end times--within certain bounds--as long as they complete the required number of work hours each week. This arrangement recognizes that different people have different peak productivity times, ensuring employees can work when they’re most efficient and achieve their goals. It gives each person freedom to choose work schedules based on personal obligations and individual work preferences.
In order for this arrangement to be successful, SDL does expect employees to be in regular communication with their team and available, within reason, during their working hours. Most team members choose to work East Coast time zone working hours, with some variations each week due to care or other obligations.
Spatial Data Logic provides all employees with the tools and equipment they need to do their best work. Depending on the role and duties, company-supplied equipment or a refund for essential tools may be provided at the start of employment or when required throughout a team member's employment with the company. Employees are encouraged to contact their managers or HR for more information and are asked about home office equipment during onboarding.
