This statement is not exactly true. We do not have a "sick time" bank other than for part-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week in accordance with the new laws. Our time off policy is called "Paid Time Off" or "PTO" and it encompasses all paid days off including holidays. How employees choose to use the remaining days, we don't classify as sick or vacation, just simply "paid time off". In the first year, employees earn 26 days of PTO. We observe 10 holidays, leaving each 1st year employee 14 days (80 hours) of PTO to do with what they wish. After the first year of employment, total accrual rises to 31 total days, 21 after holidays.
