The insurance for graduate students is overpriced at $1,127 for 10 weeks of coverage. The insurance requires an appointment every time you see a doctor outside the student health center. Appointments can take weeks and limit efficient use of paid coverage. The provider changes each year through negotiations with UCR, but graduate student representatives are mostly left out of that discussion.
