Cons Benefits come with major service commitments, including possible deployments and relocations. Rules and eligibility requirements can make some benefits harder to use than they sound.

Pay is decent once you've been in long enough. The health care and dental are reliable. And all the pension and retirement are the good in the sense for what you put in. It's the military, so you get out of it what you invest and seek.
