US Army benefits

The benefits of the Army completely out way the disadvantages. I understand that you may deploy and work long days, but you are a Soldier who to an oath to defend our country and the constitution.

Federal Health Insurance is great. Through the technician program the federal government will match your Thrift Savings Plan up to 3 or 5%.

Hey it's DOD, decent Healthcare, decent Allowance for housing and if you manage 20 yrs then you can have a small retirement as well

The benefits package for enlisted members of the Army is outstanding. All dependent family members are 100% covered for medical. Retirment pacjage is great to include disability of qualified. Excellent opportunities to excell and also chances to improve based on performance. Free TA for college is a bonus as well

They have great benefits: free medical insurance for you and immediate family, Dental plan (very cheap); they give you a housing allowance, pay for relocation, usually every three years or longer if you extend. They also give you a cost of living allowance (COLA) if overseas and separate rations in order to keep your family well fed. 30 days paid vacation!!!!!!

They completely handle everything, to the point where when I got out, I was clueless about benefits just like the guy out of school
