Job Training

Fairly decent driver training, but you should already be a good driver. Actual duty training is not very involved. You mostly get OJT. You don't case mail at first, just take out routes. Someone goes with you for a day or two, then you're on your own.

The Postal Service provides the training needed to qualify for various jobs that one might be interested in.

Training personnel has no clue

Training is continual and as such not always complete.

Training is hands-on experience. New employee are not left alone first couple of days. Managers will send help when appropriate.

When went for LLV training or post office vehicle training they scheduled last minute so I had to change all plans to accommodate the training

Job training is done to the best that they can. Long orientation about what it is to be a mail carrier and general knowledge. Then after completing 3 full days of that, there is driving training for the multiple types of vehicles you might use. Then there is on the job instructing where you shadow a carrier for 3 days.

They train you for a week and then you are expected to receive the rest of your training on the job. Only some locations/supervisors are good about giving you the time/resources to learn how things work.
