I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but this economy is awful. Even those of us with high paying jobs are struggling. Are you guys able to afford your lifestyle with one job or are you needing a side gig?
What's your long term goal for your career? And for those become a partner, or a head of tax, what drives you to make it happen?
Did anyone leave Public Accounting after 12+ years? Why did you finally leave and are you happy you ultimately made that decision?
Odd situation here. Recent college grad. Accepted an offer to start at a mid sized firm this fall, 2026. Just finished an internship at a B4 firm where i was offered a position for fall 2027. I want to work in B4. On the other hand, I need money to pay rent for 2026. How do you think it would play out if I were to accept both jobs and leave the mid sized firm next fall. I know it isn't the most ethical decision, but would the B4 rescind my offer upon my background check? Lots of anxiety!
Parasite please. I like money, but not enough to be ok with BDO.
I’d rather work at BDO advisory than tax
No way.
lol what spurred this Q OP?
Just saw the going concern article. Did they give any reason for no bonus/delayed comp adjustments? What could 3 extra months do to help whatever problem they have?
