Can someone explain the main uses of Figma and what it is good for besides web design? What is the benefit over Photoshop and Illustrator? Keep in mind I am not a web/digital designer. So far, I've focused on concepts, social media videos/static, broadcast, and overall ad campaigns. I mainly get hired for these skills. I also do digital and social media ads which I mainly use photoshop and illustrator. How can I benefit from using Figma for social and digital ads?

6 years being an art director and I’m feel like I’m bad the concepting. I’ve read all the books, did the Jason bagley course, have had opportunities to pitch ideas for commercials. And for some reason I can’t seem to get good at concepting. I’m tired. Takes me time to figure these out, and even then when I put a lot work, my ideas don’t get picked. My CW partners do a lot of the work at times saving me or making my ideas better. Don’t know what to do. Quit or try harder.

Was sat down unexpectedly by my ECD with feedback. The Good: they love my work, my execution, my demeanor in meetings and with client. The Bad: Need to better prioritize what to spend time on and who works on what, which projects to push the work on… my crossfunctional teams feel I push too hard on quality of work and used the word “combative.” Never had an argument, just creative deliberation (and yes, Account/Strat very much overstep into creative). What should I take from this?

Getting let go once feels awful. Getting let go twice in under a year- there are no words for that feeling. At what point do we give up on a long term career in advertising and try to find something else? The future is looking a bit grim here.
