Would you take a paycut to join visa ?

Obviously pay is the most important “benefit” for a job but do you have a list of perks you weigh really highly over others? Im thinking aside from the standard answers of WLB, healthcare etc - what’s the next tier down for you from there? Personally I really like when a company offers me a gym reimbursement benefit!
When it comes to paper money offers vs a liquid cash offer, what is your personal philosophy on how much higher the paper money needs to be to consider taking it over a liquid offer. I’ve seen some massive startup equity offers but ultimately they end up never IPOing so the risk is definitely real but then again some others are retired in their 30s because of those decisions too.
This really depends on what company you’re coming from and if you feel like the brand-name will help you get other opportunities in the future.

Nope and I know this for a fact because I didn’t. It was about maybe three years ago. They kept saying they could meet my number as long as they could get a title bump approved. Basically they posted it as a Dir and they would need to get into the Sr. Dir band. They were able to get the title bump but then came back with lass than I was making and I passed. I felt a little bad because I had an internal referral but then he left Visa within a year.
