No jobs anywhere
How many times have you rewritten your résumé this year? Has it actually helped? I've recently started having ChatGPT update my resume with every posting based on the job description I'm applying for and I'm hoping that will help get through the ATS if companies are using it. We'll see.
I’ve been tired all the time lately. Not just “I need a nap” tired more like I wake up tired, go through the day tired and still feel drained even after resting. Now I’m starting to wonder: is this just stress, burnout, poor sleep or should I actually get checked?
I understand why HR comes in and throws the previous manager/employees under the bus, but it really sucks when you find out they did it to you too. And you cant even prove its all lies because you didnt email yourself any work documents, communications, etc. Some of these people I worked with for years!
I am super concerned, with how many freelance and remote work sites are behind a paywall, or require a fee for your application to actually be seen. I understand that these sites are trying to make money, but what about those of us who have no income to pay those fees, and need the money as much as anyone else? It feels so predatory!
I took a job assessment today that left me feeling completely blindsided. I was excited about the role, but the test was filled with abstract "pattern recognition" puzzles and logic questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the actual job requirements. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you handle or prepare for these types of generic, unrelated aptitude tests? I’d love to hear your advice on how to get through them.
I feel you. Keep looking, you'll get there
