I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at 3M in May 2018
Interview
Applied via a workday portal application. Was contacted around 2 weeks latwr by the hiring manager via email wanting to schedule a time to talk. Phone screened several days later with the same hiring manager/engineer. Was notified two weeks later that I was to be flown out for an on-site interview.
On site started with a safety discussion and some background on the products made there. Two 1-hour long panels of three engineers/managers with structured questions about experiences with equipment, how I handle stresses, difficult decisions, pretty standard questions. Interview was loose and we talked about many things outside this structure.

Interview
Panel style with 2 rounds. Fairly straightforward and easy to talk to. Did a tour around the plant and got to see what areas the job was related to and also speak with production.
After a screening interview, i was interviewed by a panel of three employees followed by two engineers who would have been my colleagues. It was a long morning but engaging.
