This interview process was the definition of improper expectation setting. I went through 5 rounds of interviews, spent hours preparing for interviews and presentations but the company didn't have the decency to tell me I wasn't getting the job for 4 weeks. The hiring manager for the role called me to apologize for the delay, told me he'd have an offer for me within 4-5 days, asked me to confirm that 6Sense was my #1 option and told me they would move faster, need be. I then found out I wasn't getting the role 2 weeks later. Considering the hiring manager was the one that gave me a call, telling me to hold on and be patient, it's a shame that he ghosted me and didn't answer my last message, dumping everything on the recruiter. The recruiter never met timelines, pushed meetings back several times and I found myself having to follow up multiple times to understand when I was hearing back. It's one thing to not get a job offer, it's another to push people around, set poor expectations and not be true to your word.
