The phone screen was fine and not that difficult. However, there was no follow-up even after sending several emails requesting an update. It does not matter if the news is good or bad, a professional response should be given to the requester. It seems that in this day of social media, and millennials in the workforce, professionalism has gone the way of the dinosaur. A simple email response such as, 'we have chosen another candidate', is quick and let's the candidate know they should just move on and continue their job search. A seasoned candidate does know this and would never stop their search. However, a seasoned candidate is typically professional and expects to be treated that way.
