I applied through college or university. I interviewed at A&O Shearman (New York, NY)
Interview
4 interviewers (25-30min) and 1 associate ambassador; the interviewee was told that the ambassador would not evaluate performance. Interviewers asked behavioral questions and resume questions. Was thoroughly asked about prior experience not related to the legal industry.
Hypothetical behavior questions. Asking you scenarios that come up during work. There is no right or wrong answers, but they think there is. And it depends on your interviewer, some go with your answers and ask follow-up, some are very aggressive and will say that is not the way to go. So a lot of it is reacting to their responses to your answers, you can push back on their rebuttal or you can change your answer - no idea what they are looking for.

Question 1
Managing different deadlines. The question wasn't hard in the sense that you can always answer it. But the person pressed on my answer, so you might need to deal with rebuttal even though there is no right or wrong answers.
My application went straight to a callback interview, and the callbacks were very casual and conversational. They were then followed by coffee with another attorney that was informative and friendly.
