      Senior Business Analyst Interview

      Dec 23, 2010
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 days. I interviewed at AAMC (Washington, DC) in Nov 2010

      Interview

Applied via monster.com. Recruiter called and setup a personal interview very quickly. There were supposed to be 3 people interviewing (2 analysts and a project manager). Only analysts were able to make it. the project manager had a conflict. In my opinion and based on the feedback from the analysts the interview went great. Since the manager wasn't able to make it, I was asked to get in touch with the recruiter and schedule another slot with the manager. The recruiter did not return multiple calls and emails. Very unprofessional.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AAMC (Washington, DC) in May 2020

      Interview

I applied for a job and a recruiter reached out via e-mail to set up a phone interview. After I proposed some available times the recruiter then responded a week later and a phone screen was set-up. The recruiter then ghosted me twice! I waited for a call and it never happened. The third time he reached out he offered no apology and to set-up a third interview. I guess the third time was a charm because he actually called. The entire phone screen was bizarre, he kept on asking “gotcha” questions which made the entire conversation feel defensive as if he was intentionally trying to trip me up with technical terms. In addition, I could barely hear him as I was distracted by a baby crying during the entire call. I get that childcare issues come up but the crying made it impossible to have a professional conversation. After the phone interview, not surprisingly I was ghosted. I had already moved on from AAMC as I got a pretty good glimpse at how unorganized they were.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize you had a negative experience during your recruitment process. The pandemic has been a challenging time for all and there have been added stressors that parents and caregivers may be experiencing. AAMC recognizes the need for flexibility and sensitivity during these difficult times and is focused on creative solutions to help our employees adjust. We offer workshops and coaching sessions for parents and guardians, telework resources and have changed some of our benefits to adapt to a virtual environment. We hope that you will consider AAMC in the future.
