Honestly, there wasn't enough interviews to judge it fully but there's definitely a lack of mismatch interviewer to interviewee. Essentially the interview loop has too many steps to make a decision. Probably more than a SWE interview lol how many soft skills assessments can you actually dig into? The first call with the coordinator, you can definitely tell that there's a mismatch in skill and 15 ad hoc questions being asked. I get it, you're new to being a recruiter and you want to make sure you cover all your basis before sending it to your HM. However, that's on the HM for not actually putting someone a bit more Senior to sell the position and ask more targeted questions to see if there's a fit. If all your questions are yes no. What value are you getting from the interviewee? The whole conversation was all about "transparency", "candidate feedback", "empathy". Well none of that actually showed. Don't say you care about sharing candidate feedback, it's the most important thing to do but then a few days later send an automated rejection email lmao Honestly, the coordinator was super nice and junior. Feedback to the HM: mentor your juniors better.
