I had an initial HR call for a backend role. The recruiter was polite, friendly, and gave a clear overview of the company culture, team structures, and hybrid model in Hamburg. There seems to be a disconnect between recruiting and the hiring managers. The screening call was positive and my background and expectations seemed well-aligned, but a generic rejection followed after with no feedback. It would be more efficient if engineering teams pre-screened CVs before HR calls are scheduled to respect candidates' time.
