ALDI Fixed Income Analyst interview questions

I gave three rounds of interviews, one with the head of the team, another with two senior managers and a third with the entire team itself. Everyone was kind and attentive and all my rounds of interview went amazing. Unfortunately, they did not ask me if I was an international student in all three rounds. Later, I get a call from the HR department which asks for my personal information and rejects my offer as the company does not sponsor international students. I gave three rounds of interviews and not even a single person raised any questions regarding my employment status.
