I applied online. The process took 10 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Atherstone, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
Interview process was as intense as they say the role is. Whole process took around 9-10 months which is incredible really. Applied in February and finally got a response in May when I was offered a telephone interview. After a few months of silence I was then invited to an assessment centre with several other candidates. It was intense - they tested a range of skills including maths, reasoning, presenting and copy writing. After, we were asked to fill in a peer assessment in which I was rather scathing about another candidate who was rude to another. After another few months of silence, phone calls and emails I was invited to a final interview. I wasn't asked to prepare anything which I found strange. My interview lasted 10 minutes and she asked me very direct questions about things I would have no idea about. Got a rejection at the final hurdle in December. Nearly a full year after I applied. To rub salt in the wound, the guy who I was scathing about got the job. Says a lot in my opinion.
