      Store Associate Interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Kissimmee, FL) in Sep 2017

      Interview

I brought my filled out application to an ALDI hiring fair where I was asked a few questions about my availability, whether or not I was okay with the various job requirements, etc. Later the same day I got a text message inviting me to a group interview with two available dates, with a link to complete a short assessment before the interview (basically one of those tests that gauges your customer service and problem solving skills). The group interview wasn't a traditional group interview, at least not like the ones I'm used to. Basically what they do is give you a tour of a store, throwing questions out there along the way (about ALDI as a company, why they do the things they do, etc.) and you either just say the answer or you raise your hand and hope you look eager enough that they pick you. haha Then after that, we all sat in the break room and waited to go do a short 5-minute interview. We did our 5-minute interviews in the order that we arrived, so get there early. The group interview was the most difficult one because of the pressure to stand out (or maybe that was just me); the next two after that were smooth sailing. I got called a few days after the group interview to have an interview the the store manager of the store I'd be working at. More questions about how I would handle the work load at ALDI, my willingness to work the hours, my previous work experience, etc. Fairly standard. The day after that interview, I got another call to come in for the third and final interview with the district manager, a week later. The questions were pretty similar to the store manager interview at first. Then it went to--again, fairly standard--interview questions about how I've handled different situations. Overall, it was a pretty positive experience and everyone involved was really nice which put me at ease. It went faster than I was expecting, with the
