I applied in Alstom Grid (former Areva T&D) Australia last 2010, it took a week to get a face to face interview and another week to get the feedback and 5 days to received the job offer and contract.

Question 1
Questions during the panel interview are mix of Psychological Questions (from HR) and Technical Question (Engineering Manager). The technical interviews are theories of protection system (Distance, Differential, Protection Grading, Symmetrical Components). For the application part question I was asked to show how the commissioning of a Busbar protection system and explain the reason behind the 30 deg angle in Quadrilateral Characteristic of a distance protection.
