A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn to apply for a director position; I didn't think it was a great match, but I applied anyways. While I was on the careers page, I saw a second position that was more interesting. Very soon after applying for the first job, I received an automated email that I was not being considered; that was strange, since they reached out to me to begin with.
For the second position, a different recruiter reached out to me and scheduled an introductory interview. Then she ghosted me. No call or email at the appointed time. I sent an email to reschedule when it was clear she wouldn't be calling.
After hearing nothing, I sent a follow up email the next week, and the recruiter responded and said she would call me the following Monday. She didn't call on Monday.
A week or so later, she called to schedule again; we set up a time to chat the following week. She ghosted me again. I tried calling her and left a message on voicemail. Two weeks later, the job is still posted, but I have not heard from her again.
I found the unreliability of the recruiter to be very frustrating. I did 1-2 hours of research for the interview each time, blocked my calendar, and then never got an interview.
