The role was for entry-level. First interview focused on overall background with typical questions (friendly, but it's intentional). Second interviewer was 15 minutes late and yawned through out the process. They were clearly an inexperienced interviewer with lack of professionalism. They were solely focused on the math behind portfolio implementation. After answering a few math questions, questions became hypothetical. I made it clear that I learned the theory in graduate school. Unfortunately, questions asked had nothing to do with my resume or critical thinking, Just know the math and you'll move to the next round. This is a reflection of an overall inflation of credential requirements due to a large labor pool.

I got the first contact with HR, to determine which team would be a good fit. Then I interviewed with different members of the PI team (across different asset classes).
