Interview
Initial phone screen and then an onsite interview. You will usually interview with 5-8 people in your super day. You will meet with analysts up to senior management and partners of the firm. The interview process is fairly straight forward. It's mostly behavioral and personality fit types of questions. You also must have good reasons for why you want to leave your current job, if you're in another position and why AQR. You should have some basic knowledge of the financial markets and quant investing. Researching some of our strategies beforehand is a definite plus. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses and being able to articulate ideas and achievements is highly looked for.

Multiple rounds of interviews across teams within Business Development. Very culture and fit-based, but must also show knowledge of the hedge fund landscape. Everyone is extremely professional and intelligent, and is happy to answer the candidate's questions about the firm and the role.

Interview
First round interview consisted of a single on campus behavioral interview. I was contacted a few week later to attend a final round interview in Greenwich, CT. Final round consisted of a full day of interviews and a short round of testing. Overall had a positive experience but I didn't get an offer. Heard back after a week.
