I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ASML (Singapore) in Jul 2026
Interview
First, I had to wait about an hour past the scheduled time before the interviewer joined, and the interview itself lasted only about 30 minutes. This made the overall experience feel disorganized and left me questioning how much value was placed on the candidate's time.
Second, regarding the job description: skills such as SAP experience and coordinating with internal teams were mentioned, and these are areas where I have relevant experience. However, during the interview, the interviewer focused almost entirely on a different skill that was only briefly mentioned in the job description, and treated my SAP/coordination experience as far less important in comparison. If this particular skill was actually the top priority for the role, it should have been clearly emphasized in the job posting - not something a candidate discovers is the real deciding factor only after arriving for the interview. My resume should have made it fairly evident whether or not I had this specific skill, and if it was a critical requirement, this mismatch could have been identified before scheduling the interview at all.
This made the process feel inefficient and gave the impression that the job description did not accurately reflect what the interviewer was actually looking for. I hope this feedback is useful in improving the clarity of future job postings and the overall candidate experience.
