Interview
The interview was one on one, in a "Coaching Room" on the call center floor. The rooms are glassed in "Fish Tanks". It was nice in that you got to see the environment you will be working in. It was a very loose and comfortable looking environment, did not look like a boiler room or had driven type of call center.
The interviewer was very professional, mentioned he had been with ATT for about 25 years. The interview was conducted using question on a laptop that the interviewer had to type in my answers. Some questions were simple, yes or no closed end and others were the "Tell me about a time...". And there was a very short, unscripted role play of a call. I hate role plays during interviews and this one was easy and very pleasant.

The interview consisted primarily of sample inbound calls. While the position is a customer service one, the goal was to sell products for the company. They want to see how you can turn a call into a new sale or an upsale.

How would you handle a call from a roommate who wanted to cancel service?

Just like having a conversation. Basically asked about availability, working with others and independently, handling difficult customers and difficult situations, also how would you handle overcoming objection with sales and would that be a problem for you.
