I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AT&T (Boardman, OH) in Feb 2014
Interview
It was a very strict hiring process. I had to go through two interviews -- a phone interview and then a sit-down interview. During the process, they made me fill out my own background check and then take a drug test prior to even receiving a job offer. Once I completed that, then I was hired. Although I was hired for a branch, I never talked to the headquarter in which I work. I dealt with a rep from another state, so the communication was terrible.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why should I hire you over someone with experience.
The interview consisted primarily of sample inbound calls. While the position is a customer service one, the goal was to sell products for the company. They want to see how you can turn a call into a new sale or an upsale.

How would you handle a call from a roommate who wanted to cancel service?
You may apply online and may receive an email to schedule a phone interview. With one of their human resource agents. It may be a third-party conpany until you pass a preliminary interview and advance to the next stage. The interview was brief and straightforward and one may be hired on the spot.
Just like having a conversation. Basically asked about availability, working with others and independently, handling difficult customers and difficult situations, also how would you handle overcoming objection with sales and would that be a problem for you.
